 ARHCA
 driving
 improvement
 Summit
 Dale Carnegie once said, “Most
of the important things in the
 world have been accomplished
by people who have kept on trying
when there seemed to be no hope at all.”
 This year has brought endless
 challenges to almost every business
sector around the world, and there were
often times where hope was in short
supply. For ARHCA, trying to host and
 plan the association’s typical events
 seemed a hopeless exercise throughout
 the year.
 However, ARHCA is extremely proud
 to announce the ARHCA Leadership
Summit this year in Banff, taking the
place of our typical convention. When
a large gathering was not going to be
 possible due to COVID-19 restrictions,
the association got to work to come up
with a plan to still bring industry leaders
together in Banff. The theme of the one-day
event, taking place on Nov. 20, is
 Driving Improvement: The Road Ahead.
For those of you in attendance at
the event at the Fairmont Banff Springs
Hotel, we are so glad to see you in
person. To our members and friends who
could not make it this year, we hope that
we can see you in person again in 2021
and we will provide a full event wrap-up
in the next issue of Alberta Heavy.
 Alberta’s heavy construction industry
has come together to get important
work done in 2020 and has a major
role to play in restarting our provincial
 economy. Together with our industry
leaders, ARHCA is looking forward to
what next year will bring.  n
