Take a moment to talk
with your crews about the
dangers of sun glare
Blinding glare caused by low sun or sunlight reflect-ing
off snow, buildings or other vehicles can lead to
potentially dangerous situations. Equipment opera-tors
or vehicle drivers always need to be prepared!
•• Ensure any wiper blades are in good condition and
appropriate for the weather.
•• Use windshield washer fluid that is rated for
cold weather and that doesn’t leave any film on
•• Keep sunglasses on your person at all times, preferably
a pair with polarized lenses.
•• Ensure visors are in good repair, clean and free of dust
•• Check that mirrors are clean and set for you, the driver.
•• Keep any cab areas clean and tidy. n
